ABC Challenge - Y is for Yesteryear.

This weeks ABC Challenge is Y is for Yesteryear.

We would like you all to dig out one of the first stamps you brought from the bottom of your craft box and give it a new lease of life. If you could tell us when you got it etc it would be wonderful as some of them will be out of date now and it would be lovely to know their names.

Well this is the first stamp I bought when I first started card making a bit over two years ago. It's the Papernations Singing Girl stamp and I have coloured her with Promarkers. I actually quite like this stamp but when I first got her I hadn't stamped before and did a botch job of colouring her with pencils, didn't like the effect I got so put her away and gave up on stamping for a while. Then I discovered watercolouring, Copics and Promarkers and now there's no stopping me. Sentiment is an Elzybells stamp and papers are from Doodlebug

A Little Bit of Sunshine

A Little Bit of Sunshine is this weeks MTTC challenge. Use some nice bright, cheerful colours on your project. I have used one of the Elzybells images that I won in Paul's blog candy and I have coloured it with Promarkers, I really do NEED this stamp. The sentiment is a stamp from one of my CC Designs stamp sets and the papers are Doodlebug. Flowers are from my stash.

I would like to pass these two awards onto all my followers and I will be back later when I can think of 10 interesting facts.

I have also been tagged by Michele but seeing as I was tagged the other day I won't bore you all with the same photo. But would like to say thank you to Michele for thinking of me.

Forever Friends - Oriental Theme

This is my GD card for this weeks Forever Friends Challenge which this week is an Oriental theme. This doesn't mean you have to use oriental papers, you can just use items associated with it... for example, the colours ie. red, black and gold. Or even a shape, symbol .. anything really. I have coloured my FF bear with Promarkers and replaced the cake that he was holding with a fan, which is an outline sticker stuck on to a bit of red card and cut out. Not sure what make the paper is I got it from a local craft shop. I apologise to anyone that might be able to read the writing, I haven't got a clue what it says and for all I know I might have stuck it on upside down lol.

Mina's Blog Candy

Stamp with Stampavie

This week I found the Stamp with Stampavie challenge blog for the first time, (yes I'm probably yards behind everyone else), it was a lovely sketch so I thought I would join in. I have coloured my Sarah Kay stamp with Promarkers and stamped the sentiment directly onto the paper using an Elzybells stamp. The paper is from a MM paper stack and the flower is a lovely star flower which I bought from Dies To Die For, she has a great selection of flowers available amongst other things. The ribbon is from my stash and the doodled bit by the flower has been done with a Sakura Stardust pen.

I received these two awards yesterday from the lovely Natalie, thank you Natalie these are really appreciated. I'm supposed to pass these awards on to five people but because I received one of these the other day and passed it on I would like to pass them on to everyone who visits my blog.

CCT/Sketch Saturday/MTTC

I have made this card for the Sketch Saturday challenge, the Cute Card Thursday challenge and the MTTC challenge. I have used CC Design stamps and coloured the main image with Promarkers. Not sure what the papers are they were from a blog challenge that I won a while ago. Although I like the papers and love the stamps I'm not too keen on the actual card itself I think it's because the sentiment's a bit big and looks out of place.

Elzybells/CCT

Yesterday the lovely postman delivered my four new Elzybells stamps that I ordered with the last of the money I received for Christmas, I just love these stamps and I thought I would enter the Elzybells Blog challenge for the first time. The challenge was a colour challenge set by Jeanne, pink, green and blue and this wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. I am also going to use this card for the CCT challenge which was to use something that you received for Christmas on your card and seeing as I bought this card with Christmas money I think that counts. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and used paper from Sweet Shoppe Designs and the sentiment is from my CC Design stamp set. The flower and ribbon are from the embellishment caddy I won on the PBSC before Christmas.
